Fall flowers: decorations for aisle
Whether you are having an indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony, there is so much inspiration available to you when deciding on décor for your Fall wedding. Enhance the autumn mood with the rich and vibrant colors of Fall – fiery oranges, golden yellows chocolate browns, and ravishing reds. Create an atmosphere of mystery and charm. Here are some ideas on how to decorate your ceremony aisle with a glorious array of Fall flowers.
In-season Fall flowers
Some of the in-season Fall Flowers are Asiatic lilies, Asters, Chrysanthemums, deep purple Calla lilies, Dahlias, orange Gerberas, Gladioli, Marigolds, Roses, Sunflowers, and Zinnias. For a fairy tale ceremony, scatter different colored rose petals along the ceremony aisle. There are a range of different filler stems – like Gypsophila, and Queen Anne’s lace – which are available throughout the year. These could be added to posies and tied to the pews, or chairs along the ceremony aisle – you could also seat your guests on colorful scatter cushions instead. Flowers look magical in hanging baskets too.
Fall décor
Use autumnal foliage and other offerings from nature – such as acorns, textured pinecones, branches, pumpkins and crab apples – in flower arrangements or to line the ceremony aisle. Rustic candles in jars or candlelit lanterns and satin bows provide more warmth. Paper lanterns and lights wrapped around trees also add cozy lighting to a Fall ceremony. Leaves can be made into wreaths and then hung on pews or chairs.
Decorating a Fall wedding arch
You can order a wooden or forged arch and decorate it according to your taste and wedding theme. Burlap, autumn flowers and other fall décor are all effective wedding arch decorations. If you’re having an outdoor wedding, incorporate the leaves as part of your décor. You could leave them as they fall naturally or they can be used in a leaf runner – in gradient shades going from deep red, to orange, to yellow, all the way to white.
